Luxury kitchen cost in London: 2026 prices, budgets and key factors.

A luxury kitchen in London can vary widely in price, but most homeowners should expect costs to start well above a standard refurbishment once bespoke cabinetry, premium appliances, specialist finishes and skilled installation are included. For a high-end result, the total budget is usually shaped by the size of the room, the complexity of the design, and how much structural or electrical work is required.

At Luxury Construction Group, our kitchen fitter service is designed for Central London homes that need a tailored approach, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

What affects the price?

The main cost drivers in a luxury kitchen project are the same whether you are renovating a period townhouse or upgrading a modern apartment, but the level of specification can change the final figure significantly. Bespoke cabinetry, natural stone worktops, integrated appliances and specialist joinery all add to the overall investment.

A larger layout, such as an open-plan kitchen extension, will usually require more labour, more materials and more coordination across different trades. If the project includes moving walls, altering services or improving lighting and ventilation, the cost will rise further.

Typical cost factors

Bespoke cabinetry and joinery.
Premium materials such as marble, quartz or timber.
High-end appliances and integrated storage.
Plumbing, electrics and lighting upgrades.
Structural changes, such as wall removal or new openings.
Project management and specialist fitting.

How to plan your budget

It is sensible to separate your budget into design, build, finishes and contingency. That helps you avoid overspending early in the project and gives you room to accommodate any surprises once work begins.

For luxury kitchens, many homeowners also choose to invest in practical features that improve daily use, such as a walk-in pantry, a coffee station, smart storage or a larger island. These additions can make the kitchen feel more refined and more functional at the same time.

Is a higher budget worth it?

For many London homes, the answer is yes, especially where the kitchen is the centre of family life and entertaining. A well-designed kitchen can improve the way the home functions, add long-term value and create a more premium feel throughout the property.

A quality installation also matters. Even the best materials will not perform well if the fitting is rushed or poorly coordinated, which is why choosing an experienced team is so important.

Choosing the right kitchen fitter

Look for a company that can manage the full process, from design coordination through to installation and finishing details. That is particularly important in London, where older properties often need careful planning and precise workmanship.

If you want a kitchen that feels custom-built rather than generic, a specialist fitter can help you balance layout, practicality and aesthetics. The result should be a kitchen that looks elegant, works efficiently and suits the property it sits within.
